The FIM Family wish to express its condolences to the family and friends of Anthony Gobert, the former FIM Grand Prix World Championship and FIM Superbike World Championship racer who recently passed away.
Nicknamed ‘The Go Show’ because of his hard-charging and spectacular riding style, the Australian competed at the highest level between 1994 and 2006. As a nineteen-year-old he became the youngest ever WorldSBK race winner with a victory at Phillip Island in 1994.
During the course of his career, he raced for Suzuki, Kawasaki, Ducati, Bimota, Modenas, MuZ Weber and Yamaha and claimed sixteen WorldSBK podium finishes with eight race wins.
Anthony will be sadly missed by the global motorcycle community.
