Official inauguration of the FIM Hospitality


Earlier today, on the occasion of the second round of the 2024 FIM MotoGP™ World Championship at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, Portugal the FIM performed the official inauguration of their new FIM Hospitality.  

FIM President Jorge Viegas was joined by members of Dorna’s Senior Management Team, plus the President of IRTA, MotoGP Team Managers, FIM Officials during this important and private ceremony that formed part of the 120 years of the FIM ongoing celebrations. 

With the ceremony completed, the distinguished guests were then able to enjoy a celebratory cocktail served in the new sustainable mobile facility, which will attend various events at different FIM Championships during the forthcoming season. 

Designed and built in the Netherlands by Continuous Events the new FIM Hospitality represents the very latest innovations in flexible mobile facilities and incorporates many sustainable and inclusive features including solar panels, charging points for electric motorcycles and wheelchair access. The dual module layout that links via an interconnecting bridge houses the FIM President’s Office, a Steward’s Office, Meeting Room for 15 persons, Staff Office, Dining Area for 28 persons and Kitchen with full food waste management and boasts air conditioning and a rooftop viewing area. 

The Peruvian gastronomic team that includes and is led by a chef who is listed as the best in Latin America and top 5 in the world according to Fuente: The world's 50 Best Restaurants 2023 is responsible for creating and delivering a menu based on best practice in terms of sustainability according to the needs of each event. 

FIM President Jorge Viegas stated: “Since the introduction of the first FIM Hospitality, it has given the FIM an important level of visibility inside the various paddocks to which it has travelled. It has become a vital tool in terms of hosting onsite meetings and to welcoming partners and members of the global FIM family. The new FIM Hospitality will not only increase and reinforce our presence at each event, but it will also offer a higher level of sustainability and better facilities, opportunities and accommodation for our guests, staff and officials to fulfil their duties. It is a great and historic moment to officially launch the FIM Hospitality here in Portugal as part of our celebrations to mark 120 years of the FIM. We look forward to welcoming as many people as possible from the FIM family to our new ‘mobile’ home during the 2024 season.”
