On Thursday evening, the FIM MotoGP™ World Championship paddock came together to pay tribute to the late Hugo Millán, who sadly passed away at the Aragon round of the FIM CEV Repsol earlier in 2021.
On the main straight at MotorLand, Hugo's family were joined by members of the paddock including Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta, IRTA President Herve Poncharal and riders from across each class of Grand Prix racing, as well as staff and officials from MotorLand Aragon including Circuit CEO Santiago Abad, to pay their respects.
First, a minute of silence was observed in Hugo's honour, concluding with the release of some doves. Then, a traditional Ruta del Tambor drum performance showcased a tradition from the region in honour of the late Spaniard, celebrating his life and achievements.
