After the success of the second edition of KiSS Motegi, the FIM's flagship programme for sustainable event organising is now moving to the mountains of Andorra, in the heart of the Pyrenees.
The Andorran trial is a classic, and its sustainability programme has become well-known. The Andorra Motorcyclist Federation has won the FIM Sustainability Award twice (in 2013 and 2015). This edition will focus on biodiversity, and all the awareness-raising activities during the event will be connected to protecting and promoting biodiversity.
One of the most significant moments during the competition will be the signing of support for the recent inclusion of the FIM into the Sports for Nature framework.
Sports for Nature is a joint initiative of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, International Olympic Committee, United Nations Environment Programme, Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, and Dona Bertarelli Philanthropy. It aims to deliver transformative action for Nature across sports by 2030 and beyond, enabling sports to champion Nature and contribute to its protection and restoration. It provides a game plan for sports — at all levels — to accelerate and inspire others to take action for Nature.
The athletes, along with National Federation and representatives of the host city, will sign the FIM joining to the framework as a sign of support. KiSS Andorra will be organised for the third time.
The organisation is run by a group of volunteer members of the Andorran Motorcycling Federation and is characterised by its strong sense of awareness. At all the editions, the "green team" is dedicated to holding competitions, this time focused on raising awareness of the biodiversity of the mountains of Andorra.
Additionally, kits will be distributed to all the volunteers in the area, as well as to the participants. This year, special kits will be distributed to children. The kits contain various valuable materials to use during the competition.
The activities planned for this edition are focused on environmental and social sustainability, while also considering the significant economic impact that this organisation has on the city. The high volume of tourism it brings, along with accommodations and related services, creates a positive impact on the local economy.
This event is one of the most comprehensive in the world of trials. It starts with an Environmental Impact Study conducted by a local company. The study evaluates risks, proposes mitigation measures, and outlines environmental and social sustainability actions before, during, and after the event.
Education is a fundamental part of the Plan of Action. The event concludes with a report and the total neutralisation of the event using greenhouse gas calculators provided by the local government.
Among the concrete actions in this edition of KiSS Andorra
• Preparation of an Environmental Impact assessment
• Selection of competition areas in coordination with local authorities
• Scheduled cleaning and clearing coordinated with local authorities
• Photographic record to carry out an area recovery study
• Incorporation of the FIM Environmental Code and other local regulations

ENDURO GP ALSO JOIN THE FIM SUSTAINABILITY WEEK, Announcing the incorporation of the 4 and 7th round Bettola in Italy and Brioude in France.
After three unique KiSS Events in Fafe, Valpaços and Bacau, the Promotor of the KiSS Programme announced yesterday the incorporation of two new events under the KiSS Format.
This kind of organisation means environmental responsibility, being closer to the community, sticking with the regulations and having a grand sense of awareness. The organisers of KiSS Brioude have a lot of experience in organising sustainable events. They were awarded the environmental certification provided by the Federation Francesa de Motocyclisme.
KiSS Bettola also plans activities to protect the environment and ensure the community's inclusion. More details about these two events will be announced nearer to the competition date.
