F.C.C. TSR Honda France will defend its FIM Endurance World Championship title with the coveted #1 displayed on its CBR1000RR-R Fireblade.
Masakazu Fujii’s top team has also confirmed its rider line-up for 2023 with Alan Techer joining Mike Di Meglio and Josh Hook for the four-race season.
Techer deputised for the injured Gino Rea during last September’s 100th-annivesary Bol d’Or but will now embark on a full campaign in 2023 with F.C.C. TSR Honda France, having helped his employer to the 2017-18 title.
Masakazu Fujii, the F.C.C. TSR Honda France Team Manager and Owner, said: “In 2022, we set our goal as regaining the title, and we have made every effort. There have been major obstacles to overcome, but the sense of achievement is all the greater for that. We would like to thank F.C.C., Honda and all the other sponsors, partners and fans who always support us.”
Fujii continued: “The strategy for 2023 is not to change. And as it was, the team structure remained unchanged same as the 2022 Bol d'Or structure. And shakedown of the 2023 machine was also recently carried out, and it outperformed the 2022 model both in response and in terms of data. The same riders and team staff when won the championship will be used for the upcoming European tests and push on into the season. Our goal is consecutive championships. As in the 2022 season, we will concentrate on the three 24-hours races – Le Mans, Spa and Bol d'Or – so that we can once again make it known to the public the news of our crowning.”
Techer added: “I am very happy to ride again with the Honda family and in F.C.C. TSR Honda France I have the pleasure to share with the team in the Bol d’Or and to win the world championship for the team. Now I am even more motivated and I would do my best to keep this number #1 on the bike. Thank you to Fujii-san and to my team-mates for trusting me."
The 2023 FIM Endurance World Championship gets underway with the 24 Heures Motos at Le Mans in France from 13-16 April.
FIM EWC
