First Kick-Off Webinar of FIM Future Leaders Programme on 20 January

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the FIM Future Leaders Programme, with the first kick-off webinar scheduled for 20 January 2025. This programme marks the beginning of an inspiring journey for the selected participants, designed to develop and empower future leaders in sports management, strategy, and leadership.

A key factor in the programme’s success is its partnership with the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) as the academic partner. CIES brings world-class expertise in sports management and education, ensuring participants receive top-level insights and practical knowledge.

The FIM Women’s Commission has proudly supported the programme, further emphasising the importance of promoting gender equality and empowering women in leadership roles within the motorcycling community. This initiative aligns with FIM Women’s commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in sports governance and leadership.

Damiano Zamana, FIM Deputy CEO and Operations Director, stated: "The programme is essential for the long-term development of future leaders within National Federations and the global motorcycling community. By equipping these future leaders with the skills and knowledge they need, we are ensuring the continued growth and sustainability of FIM and the sport we all love."

The inaugural class consists of twenty participants from diverse backgrounds, representing fourteen National Federations across five continents: Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania. The cohort features an equal balance of ten men and ten women, showcasing FIM's commitment to gender equality and leadership diversity within the sports industry.

We are excited to support this new generation of leaders as they shape the future of motorsport and are proud to be part of such a transformative programme.
