The contributions of volunteers extend far beyond event-day activities - they are the foundation on which the sport is built, from grassroots development to elite-level competitions.

To mark this significant anniversary, the FIM is launching a mosaic video of the FIM Family Members who have shown exceptional dedication to the sport. Through this celebration, the FIM also hopes to inspire future generations of volunteers to get involved, creating an enduring legacy of support that will carry the sport into its next 120 years.

The FIM recognizes the importance of ensuring that volunteers continue to receive the support and resources they need to thrive. This includes providing training, recognition, and opportunities for volunteers to enhance their skills and contributions. By investing in volunteers, the FIM is investing in the future of the sport, ensuring that motorcycling continues to grow in popularity and success.

Confirming the sheer importance of the work done by volunteers, FIM President Jorge Viegas stated: “Volunteers are truly the lifeline of the motorcycling world. Without their hard work and passion, we would not be able to enjoy sport at the level we do today. As we celebrate this incredible milestone of 120 years, it is our priority to ensure that volunteers receive the recognition they deserve. They have been instrumental in shaping the sport’s history, and they are equally crucial to its future. On behalf of the FIM, I want to sincerely thank all our valuable volunteers not only for the 2024 season but also for their work over many decades.
