Diverse NIGHT of the JUMPs Gdansk 2015

Can the 2015 FIM FMX World Champion be crowned this weekend in Poland?

On November the 21st, NIGHT of the JUMPs will return for the fourth time to Polish port city of Gdansk. After the premiere in the Ergo arena in 2011 was a huge success, by 2013 the arena has become a fixed venue for the FIM Freestyle MX World Championships.  In 2015 it will particularly exciting at the 11th round of the championship with the possibility a new champion can be crowned.

The battle for the world title rages between 2013 World Champion, David Rinaldo of France and reigning World Champion Maikel Melero from Spain. Currently, the Frenchman leads the overall standings with 12 points in front of the Spaniard. Melero must risk everything and lay bare all of the tricks from his quiver to have any chance to extract much needed points against Rinaldo and postpone the title decider the final round in Sofia, Bulgaria.

A 3rd combatant has a theoretical chance of winning the World Champion, Rob Adelberg from Australia. With 40 points still in play for the overall championship in the last two World Championship rounds, Adelberg has an outside chance to win if both Rinaldo and Melero were to make mistakes.
3 time former World Champion, Remi Bizouard will return to the NIGHT of the JUMPs at the Ergo Arena. It will be interesting to see if he will show his Volt or perhaps some new variations. The Volt was a deciding factor recently when it helped catapult Hannes Ackermann to 3rd place at the NIGHT of the JUMPS in Shenzhen, China.

Dany Torres will also make his return to the NIGHT of the JUMPs roster.  The Red Bull Torero will be looking for a victory also on his return, and his return could also play havoc with the World Championship points distribution.

Poland’s own Marcin Lukaszcyk will make his start and try improve his results from Krakow. Marcin will want to ride the wave of the hometown crowd support in order to qualify with new tricks to make it to the final.

Poland will also see the reigning European champion Petr Pilat (CZE), the European Championship bronze medalist Brice Izzo (FRA), the reigning team world champion Jose Miralles (ESP) and US-Boy James Carter start.

For the fourth time NIGHT of the JUMPS will build the World Championship track near the Vistula estuary, and above it, the atmosphere will heat up when the FMX pilots fly through the Ergo Arena towards the penultimate championship points of the season.
