Just a day before the first ever edition of the FIM Vintage Trophy event gets underway as part of the 2016 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) it's an Italian rider with a real vintage of his own that is showing that experience counts when it comes to the ISDE.
Just six-months shy of his seventieth birthday Alessandro Gritti – Honda (Born 1st April 1947 in Vertova - Bergamo) has made an epic return to the ISDE almost twenty years since he last competed in the event in his home country back in 1997. Holding the record as the oldest rider in the ISDE Gritti, or Franco as he is more affectionately known in the paddock first competed in this historic event in Poland in 1967, and just three years later he was nominated a Knight of the Italian Republic for his sporting achievements.
His eventual palmares confirming his rightful and legendary status within the sport.
