It is official! Ross Branch has nabbed his fourth career Dakar stage win.
The Botswanan was leading the special when he screeched to a halt to assist Tosha Schareina after the Spaniard crashed.
Although he crossed the finish line in sixteenth place, 16′10″ down on the provisional leader, Ricky Brabec, he got 25 minutes back and toppled the Honda rider from the summit of the leader board.
At the end of the day, Branch put 10′54″ into Brabec and 11′19″ into Mason Klein.
