Adrien Van Beveren appointed as FIM Ride Green Ambassador

As the activities surrounding the annual FIM Sustainability Week continue, today (7 June) is marked by the announcement that leading French rider Adrien Van Beveren has been appointed as the latest FIM Ride Green Ambassador.

The thirty-two-year-old sand specialist – who has won the legendary Enduropale du Touquet-Pas de Calais three times and led the Dakar Rally on six separate occasions – is in very good company with Marc Marquez, Takahisa Fujinami, Laia Sanz, Greg Hancock, Maria Herrera, Randy de Puniet, Alex Salvini, Pablo Quintanilla and Jeremy Seewer having also been appointed as FIM Ride Green Ambassadors over the eleven years since the role was first introduced.

Together they make up a diverse team representing different genders, cultures, motorcycling disciplines and geographical areas which is helping to convey the FIM’s sustainability policy and in doing so safeguarding the future of motorcycle sport.

Adrien Van Beveren (Monster Energy Honda Racing Team) said: “I am a nature lover and it is a privilege to ride in beautiful places that nature offers us. My passion and my job is to go as fast as possible whatever the discipline in which I am competing and I am convinced that motorsport and nature have a life together, it is just about doing it in the right way.

“That is why it fills me with pride, and it is an honour to be an FIM Ride Green Ambassador for the sport that I love so much. The planet needs solutions as quickly as possible and it is in my DNA to do things well, correctly and with positive results. I am convinced that my message can generate a positive impact on people, generate a change of attitudes and inspire.”
